Yeshiwork wants to continue her education even with after getting a child
Yeshiwork is a 20-years-old woman attending the peer to peer discussions organized by Health and Wholeness Ethiopia (HAWE) in Bahir Dar city at Tis Abay kebele, she already has one child and was getting at age 17, a result of an wanted pregnancy by her school classmate. She dropped out of school at grade 10. She started attending HAWE Girls empowerment project and has been learning about family planning, sexual and reproductive health, home economics and harmful traditional practices. When asked what topic has been most interesting for her, she instantly responded that all the topics of the training has been the most interesting for her. She realized that, she had made a mistaken getting pregnancy, so early and regrets dropping out of school. As a result of the discussions, she is eager to start her education and need to make her own small business, making of fast food (cookies, biscuits) for cafes and hotels to earn money to continue her and her child life.
